About GistNode

GistNode is an AI-enhanced PDF reader for Android. We combine a calm, Kindle-style reading experience with highlights, bookmarks, and optional AI help — so you can get the gist of dense documents without leaving the page.

What GistNode does

You build a personal library from PDFs on your device. The reader supports comfortable typography, continuous scroll, search, a table of contents, and quick jumps to any page. When you select text, you can highlight it, share quote cards, or run AI actions such as explain, summarize, and follow-up questions. Figure-heavy pages can be analysed with vision-backed AI when you choose to use that feature.

Credits and fairness

AI features use a simple credit wallet: you receive welcome and daily credits, can earn more through streaks or optional rewarded ads, and credits are only spent after a successful AI response — not on errors or timeouts. There is no separate subscription tier; the product is built around this credit-based model.

Your library

Imported PDFs and most reading data (highlights, bookmarks, AI history for each document) stay on your phone. AI and analytics only receive what is needed for the specific actions you trigger. For legal detail, see our Privacy Policy.
